We know it's been months since we sent you a note,

We've been busy, and lazy and remiss.

We vacationed in Hawaii for two lovely weeks

Where the waves lap the shore with a kiss.

About February 1, we left Sugar Barge

Went to park in their driveway at Jade's.

We saw the boys' ball games, took long leisurely walks,

Cooked dinners and did laundry "in spades."

We've been Escapees now for over three years,

Finally got to the Stockton "Escapade."

It's a week-long event full of learning and fun,

With 900 big rigs on parade.

From there we came north, twas the last of the month,

Now we've been at the "pub" for two weeks.

The learning curve has been mostly straight up,

Makes our feet tired and puts roses in our cheeks.

We're here for a year, so we're settleing in,

Lakeport church welcomed us with wide open arms

We have a lake-front view from our coach.

The pub (very British) has many great charms.

You can come up and see us, we're open on weekends,

We can serve you beer, wine, fish and chips.

It's somewhat on the small side, so don't all come at once,

Just include us on one of your trips.

Meanwhile, LIFE IS GOOD!
