Hiway Hilton #4 -- 2006
It's been too long, yes way too long
Since we've sent a message your way.
The Hilton has traveled the length of the land
Back to California for some time to stay.
The summer was great, we spent it in Maine,
Lot's to see, fish chowder to eat, but no moose.
Got to Bar Harbor, Cape Breton, and Nova Scotia too,
Drove to all the right places but no "moose on the loose."
The Highland Games were a sight not soon to forget,
Feats of strength and bagpipers galore.
There were dancers all dressed in their colorful tartans
With pipe and drum bands competing for score.
We left late in August and set the course West,
We stopped in Kansas about the half-way mark.
Saw Diana's cousins (it had been way too long),
Then on to Idaho at her brother's to park.
The 50th high school class reunion for Diana was awesome,
Took a historial tour of our town on one day.
She conducted a memorial on Sunday for those who've passed on
The rest, a good-looking bunch, we must say.
On to California, to see family and start a new job
On the Sacramento Delta, at Sugar Barge RV Park.
Back in traffic and construction, alongside a levy,
We work two days a week for a site, what a lark!
We plan to stay in the area for over a year
Before we take some more serious trips.
So we'll keep you informed as the time passes on,
We expect to hear from you with YOUR news clips.
LIFE IS GOOD
