Six Weeks in Florida
Just before Christmas we rolled down to Florida
To a town north of Tampa called Bushnell.
Had a lovely church to go to, Christmas dinner at the park
New year's Eve a party and felt all was well.
Took some side trips and went exploring,
To see what we could see.
Saw things we had only read about
Including a giant manatee.
There were 'gators in the Everglades,
There were birds of every hue,
There were trees that grow in salt water
To be seen by swamp buggy too.
Went out in the Gulf on a catamaran
And saw the dolphins at play.
Then on down the chain of islands called "keys"
From Key Largo to Key West, and back in a day!
We picked oranges and grapefruit at our own back door
And saw huge groves as we drove down the road.
It was harvest time for the citrus fruit,
We saw trucks bimming over, load after load, after load.
We spent a long day at Epcot Center,
With a lot to exprience and see.
What an imagination Disney had for his parks,
You get quite a show for your fee.
We said our goodbys to the park at Bushnell
On January 28, and took off down the road.
We are now back in Livingston, Texas
For the next six weeks in a volunteer mode.
We'll send a new message around March the first
Just before we leave for our mission work-week.
We will meet friends from California on March the 19th,
So we'll give you a little "previous"peek.

Next door to our park was a field with some donkeys,
They ate carrots and apples from my hand.
The picture here is worth thousands of words
As you see, not too close did I stand.
We spent a long day at Epcot Center,
With a lot to experience and see.
