Hiway Hilton Message #6 2005

Summer is over and Fall's in full swing,
In the Catskills the leaves are now turning.
The summer was hot so the process is slow,
Now the mountainsides look like they're burning.

We've been at this campground since the fourth of July,
As we mentioned in blog number five.
We went to Niagra as we told you we would
Wonderful sights made us feel so alive.

We saw Secret Caverns, a deep hole in the ground
Where a 100 foot waterfall (after Niagra) seemed tame.
We saw Cooperstown where baseball purports to have started,
Where, of course, stands now Baseball's Hall of Fame.

We've had a great time, made lots of friends here,
Local farm stands have exceptional food.
But it's now time to close because winter's close by,
We're still healthy and continue to thank God who is good.

Come Sunday next week, we start rolling again,
Going south down as far as Tennessee.
We'll leave our coach for a month and fly to California,
Time again family and doctors need to see.

From there on to Florida to where the winter is warm,
We're not sure where we will be or just what's in store.
One thing we have learned in this year and a half
Is that this lifestyle is never a bore.

LIFE IS GOOD!
Bob and Diana
