Blogspot #3, 2005

It's almost June first and when it rolls 'round
We've been on this Adventure one year.
It doesn't seem possible, at least not to us
Still traveling along in high gear.

The last time we wrote we were in Indiana,
From there rolled on down to Kentucky.
We went to Cane Ridge and Kentucky Horse Park,
It was spring, it was raining and just "ducky."

Then on to Ohio to see another old friend
Of Bob's from the Marine Corps in the "fifties."
The picture of the two of them does tell the tale
And he and his wife are really both "nifties."

They took us first here and then we went there,
In the south- western corner of their state.
We even got to the Air Force Museum,
Our time spent with them was just great.

We went where Longaberger baskets are made
We even made one of our own.
We went up to Canton to the great Hall of Fame
Where football, of course, sets the tone.

There's a large Amish area in eastern Ohio,
So we spent lovely sightseeing days there.
Saw the Smuckers Outlet and the Worther Museum,
Lots of buggies and horses with which the roads to share.

On we came to our summer worksite in Pennsylvania,
A campground near Robesonia called Eagle's Peak.
We got here May 6 but don't work until June 1,
Gave us time to set up and give things a "tweak."

Then Bob went to Colombia to catch some big fish,
Diana went to Massachusetts to visit a friend.
Two weeks apart doing two different things,
Made our hearts and minds read to "re-blend."

Now the first three-day weekend is over,
We see how the summer's to be.
Wall to wall people are here with their families,
Then they leave and we're relatively free.

We'll be here from now to November,
With some time to see nearby attractions.
When we've done several things that you may like to see,
We'll send a note, some pictures and reactions!

LIFE IS GOOD
Bob and Diana
