BLOGSPOT #2 in 2005
HIWAY HILTON MOVES AGAIN!

Our trip to California was three very short weeks,
Got lots done and spent time with our kids.
When we got back to St. Louis to pick up the coach,
Poised, eager, and ready to roll, we had to put on the skids.

We wound up another day in a different shop
To check on a possible anti-freeze leak.
It gave us time to explore the Cahokia Mounds
An ancient "Missourian civilization" so to speak.

The leak wasn't there so it was time to take off
Estward Ho! ---but not very far.
In Mulberry Grove we stayed for three days
So we could drive up to Springfield in our car.

Downtown in Springfield in Lincoln's old home
Many of his original furnishings are still there.
There was also the Lincoln Memorial Garden to see
It was a full day of our history to share.

Then eastward to Newton (Illinois we're now in)
To Bob's Marine Corps buddy of 50 years past,
He and his wife showed us a very good time,
Some relationships are just made to last.

Eastward again, on to Holland, Indiana
Where our friends from seminary days live.
They each serve two small churches, yes, a total of four,
Much energy and love they do give.

Our next stop is Kentucky, to see Disciples roots
In Lexington and Cain Ridge we plan to stop.
The pictures herewith are a few from this time,
Just to show you the cream of the crop.

We'll try to get another blogspot sent out to you
Before Bob goes on his great fishing trip.
He's going to Columbia for a week out at sea
For his 70th celebration "while he still has a firm grip."

Life is Good!!
