Hiway Hilton Message #11
Time to come your way again,
We've been in Branson three weeks.
We'll send some thoughts and also some snaps,
Give all our friends some quick "peeks."
Branson is like Las Vegas
Without the smut and the booze.
It's VERY patriotic, every show honors vets,
The feeling is from God they take cues.
It's a very "down-home" oriented place,
Shows made up of members from a single-family.
They dance and sing crack lots of jokes
With just clean entertinment, they're all handy.
We've been here for twenty-three days
And we've been to twenty-two shows.
It's part of the perks from our job,
We get into them free--so on it goes.
We've set up three bird-feeding stations,
Lots of customers right from the start.
Watching these quick little creatures
Puts a lovely warm glow in our hearts.
Next week will be a first for this couple,
There will be no family here to help share.
But more and more we are observing and learning
That wherever we are, people do care.
So we say to all friends in this message,
We say to all family scattered too,
Blessings are rich wherever you are,
Happy Thanksgiving from us to you.
LIFE IS GOOD

Hiway Hilton Message #10
From our three-week's stay in Texas
We drove on to Arkansas.
Stopped in to see the famed Hot Springs,
Wind and rain this part of the trip we did draw.
We spent a "tourist day" in Hot Springs,
Walked the promenade above Bath House Row,
Rode a "duck" on the land and in water,
Came out of the spa with a nice healthy glow.
Then on we sent to Fort Smith
To St Scholastica and our favorite nuns.
We were welcomed again as we had been before,
As though "adopted daughter and son."
We spent three days on a Hiking Retreat,
Each day a new place to exlore.
Up Mt. Magazine to overlook the valleys,
Then to Shoal Bay where we'd been before.
The coach went to the shop on two days,
To get the turn signals fixed.
After the retreat was all over,
Back again; the hydralics were jinxed.
Finally, with everything working,
Started the last leg of this summer's trip.
We're going to Branson for the winter,
Cool, cloudy, and a steady drip, drip!
We'll come by later,
LIFE IS GOOD!
